Prior to joining Kroll, Tadashi was a global purchasing agent for Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd and spent three years in Tokyo and four years in the U.S. head office in New York. Tadashi’s responsibilities included negotiating and securing a number of multimillion-dollar contracts with suppliers worldwide and investigating suspicious and disputed contracts.
Earlier in his career, Tadashi worked as a staff writer for Nihon Keizai Shinbun (Nikkei) and served as an advisory member on the subcommittee of the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry on intellectual property protection and enforcement policies.

- Market Entry and Competitor Intelligence
Tadashi has deep knowledge and experience in providing actionable intelligence to corporations who consider expanding their footprints globally. New market entry risk studies include, but are not limited to, counterparty due diligence, risk assessments (security, operational, fraud and corruption, IP risks), and understanding key stakeholders and their interests in the market.
Tadashi also has experience in developing intelligence to understand competitors’ strength and weakness, growth strategies, cost structures, and other key business drivers. - Intellectual Property Dispute Investigations
Tadashi has significant experience in responding to intellectual property disputes and loss/theft of proprietary information. Tadashi assisted multinational technology, food and beverage, high-end brand, clothing, pharmaceutical, and automobile companies in trademark and copyright infringements.
Tad is also helping international and Asian conglomerates in patent disputes and in responding and mitigating risk of loss of commercial and technical secrets or know-how. He has led a number of sensitive complex projects where current and/or former employees took proprietary information, some of which was unpatented, to start up new businesses or to take them to competitors. - Fraud Investigations
Tadashi has significant experience in managing white-collar crime investigations such as fraud, embezzlement, extortion, and industrial espionage. He has also assisted in large litigation cases and worked with companies to assess the strength of their internal controls and compliance policies.
