Singapore - Kroll, the leading independent provider of global risk and financial advisory solutions, announced today the appointment of BC Tan as Managing Director and Co-Head of Southeast Asia for its Investigations, Diligence and Compliance practice.
Tan brings more than 20 years of experience in supporting private and government clients in risk management, intelligence collection and technology-led investigative research. Tan’s expertise in building coalitions to leverage investigative technology and data science to address critical business risks—particularly transnational organized crime, money laundering including trade-based methods, financing of terrorism and global sanctions risks, have enabled clients to successfully tackle both reputation and regulatory risks.
“We are excited to welcome BC to Kroll, and I look forward to working with him as we add significant operational depth to Kroll’s Southeast Asian and global practice. He is an established member of the Singapore Financial Crime Compliance community and brings a deep understanding of ASEAN and the Asia Pacific region, to our local and international client base. His impressive track record of building high-performing teams and leading high-impact casework aligns perfectly with Kroll’s commitment to the region, and the demands of our clients for best-in-class investigative, intelligence and compliance work,” said Cem Ozturk, Co-Head of Asia Pacific, Investigations, Diligence and Compliance practice at Kroll.
Tan most recently served as Director of Risk Solutions at Thomson Reuters in the APAC and Middle East and North Africa region, where he developed and managed bespoke client onboarding services and enhanced due diligence and complex investigation support services for private wealth segments, large multinational corporates and regulatory government segments. His representation of Singapore and the Southeast Asia market on the regional leadership team contributed to business success in the region.
BC Tan, Managing Director and Co-Head of Southeast Asia, Investigations, Diligence and Compliance practice at Kroll, said: “I am thrilled to be joining Kroll’s well-established and respected practice. As Southeast Asia fortifies its financial crime regulations in response to evolving regional and global risks, I am committed to assisting clients in managing their risk and compliance needs by harnessing the transformative potential of technology and drawing upon the extensive investigative expertise of the Kroll team.”
