Prior to joining Kroll, Wielmen oversaw the group treasury of Geo Corporation, an oil and gas investment company in Indonesia. Before moving to Indonesia, he had 10 years of treasury banking experience in Australia.
Wielmen has managed various engagements in the capacity of a financial advisor. Recently, he was appointed as an independent financial advisor to a large Indonesia State Owned Enterprise in the restructuring of its USD 18 billion debt facilities. Prior to that, he was appointed as independent financial advisor to a large Indonesian real estate company in the restructuring of its USD bonds totaling USD 390 million. Further, he was hired as an independent financial advisor by a group of 33 syndicated and bilateral lenders to a group of Indonesian textile companies that defaulted on secured debt in excess of USD 1.5 billion and entered a court-supervised restructuring in Indonesia with moratorium and recognition proceedings in Singapore and the U.S.
Wielmen holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) Industrial Finance degree from the University of Guelph. He is a member of the Financial Planning Association. He also holds Australian Financial Services License (AFSL) Tier 1,2 accredited. Wielmen speaks fluent English and Bahasa Indonesia.
