Sami has over 15 years of experience in business valuation, M&A, debt restructuring and financial and operational performance improvement. His diverse experience spans sectors such as education, defense, aerospace, agriculture, fintech, hospitality and real estate. His expertise includes business diagnostic and strategy assessment, business turnaround/optimization, financial management, deal origination (for both acquisitions and disposals) and deal execution.
Prior to joining Kroll, Sami acted as an in-house advisor to a sovereign Abu Dhabi VIP private family office, where he was responsible for restructuring and turnaround, the enhancement of existing corporate governance, financial performance reporting and operational performance improvement.
Sami has also acted as an advisor to boards of directors and investment committees of multiple entities and advised on investment portfolio performance and potential acquisitions.
Previously, he has also served as an assistant director in Deloitte’s Corporate Finance practice in Abu Dhabi, where he led over 150 financial advisory engagements related to valuation, the restructuring of Abu Dhabi government entities, M&A and forensic investigations.
Sami has a bachelor’s degree in administration, an MBA from the University of Quebec at Montreal and a postgraduate diploma in finance from McGill University.
