Robert Gordon

Rob Gordon is a director in the Transaction Opinions practice, based in New York.

Rob has extensive experience in valuation and focuses on advising companies, boards of directors, special committees, limited partner advisory committees, trustees, and shareholders. He specializes in the execution of transaction opinions and valuations in the context of mergers & acquisitions, private placements, and recapitalization transactions. He has provided fairness and/or solvency opinions in a variety of public and private company transactions, including GP-led secondary recapitalizations, take-privates, leveraged buyouts, asset sales, reverse mergers, tender offers, related-party transactions, spin-offs, capital raises, dividend recapitalizations. Rob has advised clients across a broad range of industries, including technology, media, telecommunications, healthcare, industrial products & services, consumer & retail, financial services, aerospace and defense, among others.

Along with a variety of corporate clients, he has executed engagements for some of the leading global private equity firms and their portfolio companies, including American Industrial Partners, Blackstone, Carlyle, Cinven, Clayton, Dubilier & Rice, Golden Gate Capital, KKR & Co., Leonard Green & Partners, Peak Rock, Providence Strategic Growth, Silver Lake, and Summit Partners, among others.

Rob holds an MBA in finance from Boston University School of Management and a B.S. in economics from the University of Michigan. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder, and he is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society New York. He is also a FINRA-registered representative holding FINRA Series 79 and 63 licenses.
