Paul leads the compliance and risk function within the Restructuring Advisory practice. He has worked in the insolvency profession for over 20 years and is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and ongoing development of the firm’s systems and procedures to ensure they reflect best practice and risk management standards. His role is to ensure that Kroll’s Restructuring team across the UK has the technical support it needs to operate in a highly regulated environment.
Prior to Kroll, Paul was at Begbies Traynor for 15 years, where he was Head of the Technical and Compliance team supporting nearly 100 licensed insolvency practitioners and their members of staff. During this time, he managed the expansion and development of the technical and compliance function as the insolvency practice grew through acquisitions.
Before joining Begbies Traynor, Paul spent six years working as a solicitor in the corporate recovery and insolvency team at Halliwells where he obtained broad experience of corporate and personal insolvency law (both contentious and non-contentious), with a greater focus on transactional insolvency work towards the latter part of his time there.
He is a qualified solicitor and holds an LLB (Honors) law degree from Hull University.
