At Kroll, Nicole creates strategic cyber intelligence products and conducts cybersecurity investigations on diverse matters, including incident response involving email compromise, corporate espionage, account takeover, ransomware and malware computer intrusions. In addition to having a keen understanding of the human dynamics at work in cyber-related issues, Nicole possesses deep technical expertise, including in digital forensics, network analytics, industrial cybersecurity, incident handling and sophisticated methodologies for extracting meaningful insights and vectors of compromise from big data.
During her tenure with the FBI from 2009-2019, Nicole performed work as a Cyber Intelligence Analyst that was key in numerous national security and criminal cyber investigations. She authored intelligence products that were briefed to the FBI Director on multiple occasions, as well as to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. In her role as the lead cyber analyst for the Newark Field Office’s cyber squad, Nicole was responsible for formulating investigative strategy, conducting liaison with domestic and foreign intelligence partners, and training and mentoring new employees in cyber analytical methods. Nicole also frequently presented to FBI executives and private sector companies on cyber intelligence derived from technical data analysis.
