Matt has over 25 years of investment banking experience working with both publicly and privately owned companies in the business services, technology and government services sectors.
Prior to joining Kroll, Matt was a managing director at Seabrook Partners LLC (“Seabrook”), a FINRA-registered broker-dealer that advises privately held companies on M&A and capital raising transactions. While at Seabrook, Matt represented entrepreneurs that completed transactions with strategic buyers such as Amazon, eBay, and Teledyne Technologies and financial buyers such as Blackstone, Thoma Bravo and Warburg Pincus.
Before Seabrook, Matt served as a director at Capital Strategies Group (Morgan Stanley’s middle-market M&A group). Previously, he also served as a director at Citi’s middle-market M&A group, a predecessor to the Capital Strategies Group.
Prior to joining Citi, Matt worked at Claris Capital LLC, a boutique M&A advisory firm focused on the business services and technology sectors. Previously, Matt has also held investment banking positions at Cowen & Company in New York and San Francisco and at Prudential Securities in New York. He began his investment banking career at Smith Barney in New York. Earlier in his career, Matt worked as a professional staff member on the U.S. Senate Small Business Committee and as a legislative aide to U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein.
Matt holds a B.A. in finance and political science from the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB). He also holds an MBA in finance from the Anderson School of Management at UCLA. He is a FINRA Registered Securities Representative (Series 7, 63, 79) and Registered Securities Principal (Series 24).
