He has over 22 years of experience advising boards of directors and senior executives on financial matters and M&A transactions and specializes in providing fairness opinions, solvency opinions, business valuations and other board advisory services to public and private companies and their boards of directors.
David has advised clients on corporate transactions including capital raising, GP-led secondaries/continuation fund transactions, acquisitions, going-private, leveraged buyouts, asset sales, spin-offs, recapitalizations, related-party transactions, SPACs, and ESOP transactions. He has experience in a wide range of industries including financial institutions (banks, investment managers, insurance), energy/power/renewables, industrial products, technology, healthcare, consumer/retail and engineering/construction.
David’s clients include, among others, private equity firms KKR, Advent International, Arbor Investments, Evergreen Coast Capital, Entrepreneurial Equity Partners, Acorn Growth Strategies and companies including Citadel Investment Group, Pacific Life, Morningstar, Peabody Energy, TXU, Renewable Energy Group, Green Plains Renewable Energy, and Spencer Stuart.
David was an investment banker with Bear Stearns & Co. Inc. and was with Kroll until 2010. Prior to re-joining Kroll, David was a corporate finance professional with Northern Trust and Citadel where he assisted with M&A transactions and served in senior executive roles.
David received his MBA in finance and accounting from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and his BSE in Industrial and Operations Engineering (magna cum laude) from the University of Michigan. He is a Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) registered representative, holding the FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses.
